A laptop with it's own fragrence....

Ok I will do an update post later, I just had to share this link because I am just absolutely confused to how this product even came about.

I will let the marketing materials speak for me...

This ASUS® F6V-V is Performance-tuned. Microsoft tested.

The ASUS® F6V Designer notebook represents a unique combination of features that will appeal to all senses. These thin and light weight solutions are packed with powerful features and include a stylish high-gloss finish with unique designs at an affordable price. Select from multiple combinations of scents and colors to reflect your personality. With Windows Vista Home Premium, this becomes your ultimate on-the-go fashion accessory, helping you stay connected and organized. Multiple colors with distinctive designs and scents available including:

* Bloom (pink) with floral fragrance
* Surf (blue) with ocean breeze fragrance
* Vital (green) with fresh meadow fragrance
* Extreme (black) with musk fragrance

If you read that again, yes, that is a laptop that has a distinctive design and SCENT associated with it. Say what?!? Who in their right mind saw all the laptops out in the market and decided their was a deficiency with smelly laptops? And then also the questions are raised, is it scratch and sniff? How long does the fragrance last?

But really, what the hell Asus?? They have an entire series (ASUS F6V Series) dedicated to being scented laptops.

  1. My coworker got a scratch and sniff Christmas card that smells like pine needles...

Yeah, but this is just freakish. Is the length of the smelliness under warranty? Because if you're paying for smell, it has to be guaranteed to last at least awhile, right?

And I feel like a loser for how much thought I'm putting into this. ^_^
